I was just curious, Do dogs tend to reach they're full height first or do they "wider" first. are the head and feet the first things to reach full size?

Height comes first, then muscle mass, and the head usually stops growing (muscle mass included) about 2 years. I specifically asked my vet about the head growth rate when I had my show Giant Schnauzer, because her ears tended to touch at the tips when she was very keen on something. He said that once her head and the muscles in the head stopped growing at about 2 years, then I could start to worry if they still touched.

Dunno when the feet stop growing.

I was talking to the owner of the store (raises show dogs, trains all kinds of dogs) and another employee where I buy my dog supplies about the above linked "adult size formula" (weight at 4 mo x 2) + 10 = adult weight, and they both felt from experience that leaving off the +10 lbs was more the norm. Anyone else have any opinions?

normaly in abs the first year they get the hight and lenth 2nd yead there bones thicken up 3rd yead ther mussels grow in to there bones this is what i have been told by my breeder and vet and many others and i must say there right on with my dogs
