Happy rescue date Heaven (PIC HEAVY)

I meant to post this on the 11th, and knew I would forget. I'm such a bad mom. But here is a timeline of Heaven's journey with me.

Just got home from the pound, after stopping by PetSmart for a bath and new collar. She was sad, shaking, starving, and looking pretty sickly.







After a few days of TLC with her new mommy -- (me)


One week later.. (Incidentally this is when I realized she was a pit bull, and not a "boxer mix" -- and I think it's the same day I joined this forum!)






Our first pics together..




First road trip -- piece of cake!


Romping in the backyard when I used to have GRASS!






This was taken after the worst nightmare of my life -- I came home from work, and Heaven was GONE. The neighbors about 6 houses down had her for the night, and brought her home in the morning -- I couldn't even see through my tears, I was crying so hard.


Just got spayed -- 6 mos old.


I was only able to catch this because she was drugged, LOL.


Taking Heaven to pick out a puppy -- that tiny runt in the back is Koa, LOL


Koa was licking her ear...


Ah, she made her selection, LOL!


10 mos old...


And here she is today... Love you, Heaven.

I still have her! She's all mine. :) She was approx 3-4 mos old when I got her from the pound. She still had all her baby teeth so I am assuming she was that age. She's about 16 mos old now, I am guessing.

WOW, Those first few pictures you can see she wasn't cared for as you can see her ribs and all but after a week with you she looked great and still does of course.I love the pictures of her and the litter of pups,picking out Koa............LOL
She is one beautiful dog.Those eyes get me all the time,I love them.That was really awesome how you lined up all those pictures from day 1 till recent.I never get tired of seeing your pups,speaking of now you need to post the same thing but of Koa :wink:

LOL Kelly -- Koa has a birthday coming up in June so I will do one for him then.

I WISH I could see what Heaven looked like as a tiny puppy. I wonder what her parents were like... I wonder where her siblings are. I wonder if they are loved, or if they're all gone. I wonder who had her before me, and why they didn't want her. I wonder how long she was wandering alone before she was picked up. I wonder how ANYONE could look at that face and not fall in love. She is such a blessing.
