Hello my name is Jeff and I am a new member. I am 24, born and raised in Ventura CA. I got a pitbull when I was 5 and he was the best friend that a kid could ever ask for. When I was growing up and feeling down as young kids/teen commonly do, I used to look to my Pitbull for strenght because I admired him and thats what you saw when you looked at him... strenght. I hate when people put APBTs into the "vicious" catagory. I don't like the stereotypes and the mis information about pits and/or their owners that is so common these days. I can't stand to think how many get uthinized everyday. It breaks my heart. I am glad to see people who care and don't get their information on the breeds from the biased media and people who don't like them in general, but rather from people who have first hand experence with this amazing breed. To me the APBT is the perfect dog with a presence that demands respect. They are strong, agile, athletic, caring, loving, protective and downright adoreable. These attributes make an all around amazing dog. I could talk all day but I'll just show you some pics of my buddies :D
This is Frankie. I found him at a Transmission shop eating scraps that the employees were giving him. He was very skinny and skittish and didn't have any tags and no owner. I took him under my wing 3 years ago and the transformation was for the better. He now knows what a home is really like and he digs it. LOL!

This is Jessica and she is a beautiful Red nose. She is 6 months old. I adopted her from my local animal shelter. She loves to play and is very smart and mischevious.

Sorry for the image quality, I don't have a digital camera. These pics were taken with my cell phone.
