He has had diahrea for the past few days. It all started after we gave him a raw bone. It had a little meat and stuff on it but hardly any and he didn't actually swallow the bone, he just chewed on it for a few hours. Ever since he has been pooing in his crate really bad and now he just threw up. But, he is hyper as ever. Should we take him to the emergency vet?

He probably has a bacterial infection. Pepto could help SOME but yes I'd take him to the vet, not necessarily the ER one but your regular one, tomorrow (as long as you can get in tomorrow). Fast him if you're not already. If the diarrhea gets bloody then you may want to take him in sooner (to the ER) If it's a bacteria like E. coli or salmonella, he'll need an antibiotic.

Well, we took him to the emergency vet b/c we wanted to catch it early. We can't miss work to take care of him or take him to the vet during the day. They gave him an antibiotic and put him on hills perscription diet for a week. Not too sure how I feel about the food, but I will give him the antibiotics. I went home and checked on him at lunch. No poo, but he had another accident in his crate last night. Hopefully I come home to a poo free home tonight after work. Wish him luck, I feel so bad that there isn't anything I can do for him. Lots of love is all I have..
