MY 4 YEAR OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG IS BLEEDING WHEN SHE POOPS, IT'S NOT ALL THE TIME. SHE'S BEEN TO THE VET 2 TIMES, THEY DID BLOOD WORK, GAVE HER AN ANTIBIOTIC AND IT'S STILL HAPPENING. ANYONE HEARD OF THIS?

It could be irritable bowel syndrome. I had a dog with similar symptom, and that's how she was diagnosed. Prednisone helped. If she doesn't improve in about 2 days, I would seek a second opinion. Antibiotics for bloody stool wouldn't be my first instinct.

Question, other than the blood, Are the stools normal (ie: firm, loose, discolored, abnormal smell etc)? And is she straining to move her bowels? Were there any xrays done of abdomen for foreign bodies? After all the guys/gals are known to eat things they're not supposed too! I too would maybe seek a second opinion a.s.a.p.!
