I was wondering if you guys had a list handy for what to buy an incoming bully pup? and recommendations for toys? things that appeal to most dogs, but would be inappropriate for a bully pup? thanks.

Kongs, you can stuff them with peanut butter or treats and even freeze the kongs with a treat inside as it will keep them busy for hours.Nyla teething rings or anything made by nyla bone for them to teeth on.Put a small clock in the crate with him / her as the ticking sounds like the mothers heart beat and will help sooth them.Also a shirt that has your sent on it can go in the crate as well to help sooth ( I wore a shirt all day then put it int he crate so my sent was in there with him and he didnt feel alone )Buster has always liked tennis balls and yes we go through a lot of them but he loves playing fetch.

A crate, if you don't already have one. Crate training is a must! A small rope for him to play with. (under your supervision)

I am sealing the deal this saturday (doing a final check on his mommy and daddy, his kennel, personally inspecting and all that) and if all goes well, then i will take him home. if not, i will break my own heart, keep looking and report back as to why. I wish you guys had a link or series of posts where people could post reputable breeders by area and more importantly, disreputable ones.

Thanks Jackie. I learned alot in the service. Loyalty is one of the best measures of a man's (or lady's) worth. If every person was as loyal as thier dog, this world would be a btter place.

What breed is he? He's gorgeous!

Remember to trust your gut when you go see him and the kennels. If something just doesn't feel right - find a different pup. I've learned from experiance - recently not a great experiance - to listen to your inner feelings. It can really make a huge difference.
