there was a thread on here with someone who had done this and there was a photo of it. does anyone know how i teach nelson to do that? i tried when he was really little and tried propping up inbetween a corner of a wall but he couldn't stay up there. i jsut assumed in the end that american bulldogs just can't do it but i'm sure the pic of the dog on this forum was an american bulldog too i think. so there must be anotehr way.

This link is really good Good info at the beginning, all dogs are different when it comes to training and what kind of reward keeps them motivated, Roxy needs food, im not good enough a reward for her [-(

I'm teaching CC that trick right now. I gat a bully training mag. and they said that you hold a treat just above there head and tell them easy, Moving the treat up alittle at a time. before too long the get it.

Yup - this is how one of my dogs trained to do this. He wanted the treat and it was to low for jumping up to get it so he sat up to get it. Now all you have to say is "do you want a treat" and he sits up.
