I am new to the group, 1st post! I was feeding our puggle pedigree until I started researching foods before getting bam bam. I met a lady at the dog park who worked at the pedigree factory, she told me what they put in the food and I ran to the local feed store and got a bag of Innova! All leftovers from slaughter houses, road kill, dead animals from zoos and animals put to sleep in shelters. I am now feeding orijen large breed pup and acana pacifica and grasslands. I am rotating a 29lb bag of each. I think Orijen one of the best foods available and Acana is made by the same company. They are all 3 grain free and will give the dogs a variety of protein sources also. Orijen is poultry and fish, pacifica is all fish(comparable to orijen 6 fish but $15 bag cheaper), and grasslands is lamb and fish. They do fine switching between the 3 with no problems. They are all about $60 a bag but its worth it for their health. You feed alot less of the quality food and once you start researching dog food qualities and ingredients it is an easy decision.

I'm switching Bam back to Acana from Evo. They haven't been doing as well as on the Acana, if its not broke don't fix it. They did great on the Acana/Orijen, it's a little inconvenient to get but I think it's the best kibble out there!
MorleyMo- I agree that there seem to be alot of grains and groats, what is a groat? Check Acana and Orijens ingredients list, no groats in the top 3 ingredients!
