Scarlet has always been very lean. Even when we first got her she was slightly under weight and has kept that same ratio. You have always been able to see individual ribs on her and she has always had a very slim belly...sorta greyhoundish if you know what I mean. She eats plenty and eats fine and she gets plenty of treats. As some might now last Wed. she got spayed. She didn't eat for about 3 days (she ate treats but not meals). She had so little body fat to start with she burned it all in those 3 days. She is to the point right now when you can almost see her hip bones. She has been eating fine and normal since Sat. but I need to fatten her up. The vets always say she is in the good range for weight she just could gain 5-10 lb. I have heard to give extra treats and stuff but is there something I can mix with her food at meal time that is healthy but will also cause her to gain weight. I just hate seeing her so skinny...she has put a little fat on in the past few days but not much. It is just real noticable too cause Clutch is so big and round...lol. he has no weight issues at all. Thanks in advance for your help!
