I would go with the peroxide also. I think you can put hydrocortizone on him, but I would check on that first. Calomine would dry it out too, but I would ask a vet before you put that on him. Seriously, I would call the vet and just ask if those two are safe to put on him. Who cares if you're getting on his nerves? This is your baby.
