staffylover again? (if you have no idea what i mean by that, i apologize.)

at any rate, you don't want to feed too much protein to your puppy. the others can correct me if i'm wrong, but if you feed too much protein it could cause skeletal problems for your dog later on in life. you don't' want them to get too muscular too young. as a pup, i would stick to a good quality puppy or adult kibble (adult for a large breed, so that they don't grow too fast). if you want to switch to a higher protien diet when the dog is mature, raw chicken is good, but you need to balance things out a bit. look into the BARF diet - search for it online. there are several people here who feed it and love it.

and you might want to move this post to the health and exercise section. it might get more attention there.
