Awwww....Almost brought a tear to my eye! Your daughter sure is Happy about Bully. I think Harley and Bully will be friends in no time!

Shawn, I'm surprised you say that. He looks so THIN to me. I can still see Harley's ribs, but they're the exact same height & she has at least 15-20lbs on him. Please forgive me for saying so, but I think he looks a bit unhealthy at this weight. Why do you think I should keep him this thin? I think he could stand to gain 10-15 pounds myself.I know they are supposed to be small built and have an all together build from our dogs but Shawn his ribs and spine are all sticking out.You dont even have to feel them you can see them.He doesnt look healthy which surprises me you say only 2-3 pounds.nanniesrock said:Shawn, I'm surprised you say that. Well, don't be surprised. A dog that only weighs 58 lbs. can gain 3 lbs. and you won't see the ribs at all. 10-15 lbs. would be WAY too much for him. Mosley was weighing in at 82 lbs. I dropped him down to 78 lbs., only 4 pounds and it made a world of difference. Montana only weighs 63 lbs. and Messiah only weighs 68 lbs. and he's a good bit bigger than Bully. I'd take him to the vet and see what he thinks. But, our vet down here thinks he's good at about 60 lbs. for his height. I do think he's a little too thin, but not more than 10 lbs for sure. What you should really do is just try to put a couple on him, see how he looks, then decide from there if he should gain any more.
You've seen lots of pics of my dogs, they're not too thin, but I do keep them on diets. You're supposed to be able to see their first three ribs, I believe. Look at those last couple photos of him, he's not THAT skinny that he's unhealthy. Just a few pounds.
