We bought the kids a swimming pool for the back yard, Chassis was the only one to dig it.

Cami loves the mud.

My little fat head.

Backyard fun for me and Chassis anyway!

I LOVE CHASSIS!

I love Torco and Cami too........ :wav:
Chassis just brilliant! I love them pics too.
Bill was telling me about how much the houses cost down there... WAAAAY less than what you pay up here, and you get WAAAY more space. I had no idea the cost of living was so much lower in TX than Ohio. I'm going to stay here at least another 4 years to build some equity in my home, but after that, I am seriously considering moving there. LOTS of nursing jobs!

Yep steph just got into nursing school. Coast of living is not too bad compared to alot of other places. But when you have to run your A/C 9 months out of the year they have to cut you some slack somewhere. LOL
A/C

I would rather run my A/C than heat 9 months out of the years LOL.
Not only the cost of oil up here but the cold is awful
I LOVE the pics!!! They are all so cute! I'll take all of them! Cami is so adorable.

Anyways, post more often. I can't get enough of your doggies!
Same here. My gas bill is on a BUDGET, which means I pay $230 every month YEAR ROUND. Last year it was $109 a month, but gas prices went up 30%. So even though I got all new windows and siding, I still saw an increase. But I shouldn't complain. Last year my windows were so old and drafty, I had to keep my thermostat set at 80 to keep warm. Now this past winter I only had to keep it set at 68 and it was toasty. I want to see how much it would cost to get a new furnace and change my heating system over to electric rather than gas. I am half tempted to forget about building equity and just relocate anyway. We'll see.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, Red.

Eh it keeps my thread at the top so no worries about jacking it. The electricty and water bills are what kills you down here. It takes a ton of water to keep your grass alive in this heat. Screw it and move to Tx you will like it down here I bet. We can get you started working Koa in our PSA club.
Texas is freagin awesome. I would never leave this place. Spoken like a true Texan. Who else has so much pride in their state. The heat sucks sometimes, but u can go swimmin, camping, etc all year round. Its great. We never get stuck inside b/c of the weather. Plus we need more bully buddies here in Tx.
Well I'll tell you what, when I am there, I will have Bill take me around to the area hospitals and check them out. I might even set up some interviews ahead of time. If I can find someone who will pay the kind of money I am making up here (hard to do)... I may consider moving there by next winter. You guys are making it sound so tempting. What's the "best" part of TX to live, that's not too expensive?

It really depends on what you are looking for. Dallas has alot of hospitals, not horrible traffic and lots of nice area's, and if you go 30 to 45 minutes in any direction you get out of the big city living. You go east you have much greener part of the state, you go west you get the desert feel, you go south lots of green, far south and you have the coast.

Some of my family lives in Tennessee and it's the same way down there. It's so depressing seeing how much more you can get for your money there!!
I love Texas

I been all over texas when i was young have acouple of relatives down there , I love shopping there to they have the best malls.
And the cloths to die for. The state itself its gorgous. The only thing I didn't like was the snakes.
The desert side have the tumble weeds like you see on TV so cool.
I been to huston, dallas. Larado, Gallviston, I don't care what part its all nice . it was in the month of may I had gone was 110 degrees but a dry hot so not to bad.

I live in Corpus Christ. We are 15 minutes from the beach, and about 20 minutes to farms and ranches. The best of both worlds. It is a very cheap place to live as far as renting, buying a house, etc. It is a good size city, but not with all the bad traffic like houston and dallas. I wouldn't leave for anything. There are about 5 hospitals in the city. You should check it out. You wouldn't have to make as much money, b/c the cost of living is so much lower. I pass the bay on my way to work every day. What a view. Here is a few pictures.
