Hi guys,
I wanted to see if any one knew dosing time frames and amounts in Ivomex.
Semper is about 75-80 lbs.
I have purchased the injectible, and have been giving it to him orally according to the old schedule the vet gave us which was about 14 days total.
I just wondered if it could be longer term, or if it goes in cycles.

He just came off a round of antibiotics also...and we are noticing them slowing coming back...
This battle, supplements/medication etc really doesnt seem to get us anywhere.
He will be one the end of April.

My vet had me give Maggie ivermectin for 6 weeks.
Talk to your vet and see what he/she says.

i'm very happy to say that all of maggie's hair has grown back

After the 6 wk time period, how much time has gone by?

I am wondering about it re-occuring. He is going to be one in April, I hope his immunities kick in!

Have you considered supplementing your treatment with medicated baths? It will help eliminate yeast infections, and soothe the itichies from the demodex.

yes, we have been bathing him in medicated shampoo.
he is looking wonderful....but I am afraid when we stop the medication it will consume him quickly again........this is a horrible battle!

I dont get on much...but wanted to update on Semp's skin issues.

We have had him on the Ivomex and he did a round of antibiotics he ended about a month ago.
I have been weening him off the IVOMEX....

He looks GREAT! New hair came in and everything.............I am just hoping its over for him. He is such a beauty with it under control!
