There is one thing I understand now, that I did not before you guys have more money than.............................me.
That's a problem, why? What does someones income or lack there of have to do with this? Why is it that you think that you're so important that you have a say as to how others spend their money?
I do not care how you spend your money, however everytime someone has a question about anything you guys all cry TRAINER< BEHAVIORIST as though the average joe can afford that.
I can't afford a behaviorist either but your attitude sucks. When people are offering advice (probably from their own experience), if you don't have any - other than beating the shi$ out of your dogs you should zip it.

I'm gonna go ahead and call NOT TRUE on this one. There are people from all different financial backgrounds here.
And, lack of money is no excuse for self-education.
If you can spend 20-30-40 dollars an hour on your dogs therapy you deffinately have more money than me and I could educate myself on the internet till I was 90 an still not be able to afford a behaviorist for my dog
Many people who hire a behaviorist just prioritize their income differently when they need to. They may eat nothing but Ramen noodles for a month to be able to afford it, but when their dog is that important to them, there's almost always a way to afford it.

You apparently do care how one spends money cause you keep talking about it. How about this why don't you impress us all with your keen insights. Explain to us what the dogs issues are. Plan a course of action that resolves those issues.

+1. I don't understand why you feel the need to intervene when people are just trying to help one another. Just because you don't care to do these things does not mean that other people don't have the right to at least learn about their options. Plus, I really don't think we all suggest getting a trainer/behaviorist for everything. If you look closely you'll see that we often suggest NILIF as a way to get control of your dog. We offer plenty of advice that one can implement in their own homes on their own time. Sometimes, we all need a little help. And if we're willing to make sacrifices in order to care for our dogs in the way that we see best then we have every right to. And believe me, as someone living paycheck-to-paycheck I make sacrifices for my animals every single month. And you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I feel that if you have the right mindset and the right energy you can control a dog or correct a behavior issue by yourself without and outside interference any animal for that matter. But to come on a site that loves bully breeds and say you beat a dog your just trying to stir trouble. Shame on you, everyone here is here because we love bully's and if you don't you need to find another website to troll on!

Exactly Leeann!! I am by NO means rich, I'm a college student who works max 10 hours a week and am up to my eyeballs
in loan debt. But when my dog NEEDS something, whether it be behavioral or medical, I make sure that happens because they
are like my babies. And yes, I DO speak from experience, you find the money if you need and really want to. I guess those
are the key words though, "If you really want to." Sounds to me like you may be the kind of owner who doesn't really want to
make it work.

esplain to me the difference between a "good" trainer and a behavioralist?

i think it is, what, $20-30 an hour diff?
any trainer worth their salt understands how dogs think and why the do what they do. if they dont they certainly aren't a "good" trainer
I agree, Cathy. When I think of a "behavioralist" I think of a good trainer. I only differentiate with the word "behavioralist"
because if I say "trainer" some people will think of the teenagers at petsmart who teach you how to say sit to your puppy.
Know what I mean, Vern?

Dude, I'm with you, but you're fighting a losing game. My animals are priority one.

There isn't a way she could have changed DMarie's original post, unless she had mod priv. or logged in as DMarie. The only thing possible, is if Bones went back and changed her post, and DMarie hit "quote" a split second after Bones hit "Submit" to edit her post. Which, is entirely possible.

See, how my post says "Submit" and your quote of my post says "save" because I went back and edited my post once I saw what it should be. Yet, my post doesn't say "Last edited...." as most do once someone posts and then you edit it? Weird stuff... :p I believe you that it was there, that's why I'm trying to give a logical explanation as to how that happened.
