Well tomorrow our baby boy and his sisters get thier dew claws removed and thier tail docked. My sister in law is taking them first thing in the morning. I hope everything goes okay. I know nothing about what they do. Can anyone feel me in? Will they have to get stitches? I know my mother in law will take good care of them when they get home. I just have always hated the idea of the tail being docked. But they really think it is the best idea. I'm sure they will be fine but I am a worry wart. Plus hubby goes for his test Thrusday to put his brain to sleep and see how much memory he will lose if he has the brain surgery. Too much stress this week. Please remember them both this week.

Thanks.

Well puppies are docked and dew claw free. Sister in law called and said it went okay. Mama missed them but she was ready to nurse them when they got back. I was worried all morning about them. And I won't be able to go and see them tonight. I hope tomorrow to get to see them.

Melissa

Thanks for all the thoughts for them!

Well not too happy but, when we got home last night there was a message from hubby's nurse and said that the appointment today had to be canceled since his doctor is sick. So we both went to work to day and he will have to call today to make a new one. I just wish they would have told us yesterday morning. But they didn't call until 3:45! And my hubby works there in the hospital and they know his hours and how to reach him since he works on the eqip. there. So I will let you know when they plan to do it again. THe test is called a Wada Test.

I was just thinking the same thing!!!! I just keep hoping one will follow me home one day...

I may have missed something, but why are the tails being docked? What breed are the pups?

The puppies are boxer mixes. I was told by my mother in law and sister in law (mother in law is the owner and sister in law has a boxer already and is taking one of the female puppies) that if you don't get them docked, you will be getting whipped by a strong tail all of the time. I told them Faith's is not docked and she does that but they said a boxer will be alot bigger.

The vet only charges 6 dollars to dock the tail and remove the dew claws. THey took them where we already take our other dogs so thats good.
