Hi guys, I'm in the process of looking into getting a staff pup. Read the books & spoke to several breeders & owners, but I have a quick question.

The breeder has mated a black staff (male), with a fawn staff (female). I can't find any pictures anywhere of the product of these 2 coloured dogs being mated.

One book I have also says that Black and liver/tan dogs are to be discouraged - but wouldn't fawn fall under the same category ?

any help appreciated

Cheers

Chris

what they mean by black and tan is "tri color" dogs
like this (this dog is actually blue and tan but you get what i mean right)

it's not liked in the show ring, so unless your planning on showing i wouldnt worry about color too much. except obviously stay away from breeders who breed for a specific color like blue or whatever.
