Do you guys remember me posting about a dog I wanted to adopt out of Arkansas, but they wanted the fee up-front? Well, I haven't heard anything in about a week, never returned the contract. i checked my e-mail this am and got pics of him starting his journey yesterday

They had originally said next weekend. I feel so guilty... I said I really wanted this pup...

Will I be getting a Kane to go with my Abel?????

This is really superstitious and probably kinda silly of me...
But I have this thing where I will not name a dog Cain simply because I feel that I am dooming myself to a lethal dog fight.
Stupid, I know...but those parochial schools will put the fear of God in you!

Can you post the pics of him so that we can see??

Well, we're going to see about Kane in the am. We decided it wasn't really fair to the dog to apply for adopting him, then just let him sit there waiting for a forever family who never shows up. We haven't paid anything so far, and the adoption fee doesn't really bother me. His vetting to date wasn't free, nor was his transport here. We are due in Glastonbury at 9:30 am, to meet Abel's new brother. These are his pics.....

Kane is home, and whoa am I in for it!! Abel is being a little spit-fire, I think mostly out of jealousy. We brought him along to go get Kane, and he being terrific.... until he realized Kane was coming with us  Then jealousy roared it's ugly little head.

Once we got home Abel didn't seem to be showing any overt animosity, just playing rough, as is his nature. I'm trying the squirt bottle for now to curb his enthusiasm.

Any advice on sibling rivalry?

Yeah, I was wildly optimistic about the difficulty level associated with this  . Even tho Kane was fostered, he is not even close to being house broken, or crate trained. Abel's been doing fantastic with both. Kane can come in from outside and within 5 minutes have an accident. Grrrrr it's not like they're not spending enough time out there. I'm really looking forward to school being done for the summer. Hailey has declared Kane "hers" and spends every minute with him, which actually helps alot.

The really difficult part tho is that I have always had high blood pressure, and while it was ok during the first two trimesters, it's starting to get really high. I had a headache yesterday and it was 160/110 all day. Not good for the baby.

If I can get thru the next few months sanity intact, I'll be fine....
