oh my, that is a whole nuther question there! do dogs "love" in the human sense of the emotion?
i say no. and yet another... do dogs "reason" ? again... i say no, not in the human sense

Yeah, because I think we ask our dogs to do alot of unnatural things.

I’m not sure if I agree with your theory Attitude; the dog is a domesticated animal by the hands of humans for I don’t know how many years (any one know) so not a wild animal. Therefore by being domesticated by us we are in their minds members of their family so that makes them naturally protective over us.

Yes, but that doesn't make it natural. Before they were domesticated by us, that is what you have to look at, I think.

If that's the case, then pretty much anything we ask them to do is unnatural. It was an interesting topic, but a bit narrow IMO. Dogs don't naturally walk on a leash or shake paws or wear sweaters or eat out of a bowl....the list goes on and on. Anyway, I see the point.

yes it did it lsot its cubs and it adopted the baby deer and they are supose to be natural emenies so it was strange but they tracked the lion abd deer since interception and yes it did show the lion attacking one of it's own kind to protect the deer. Unforunately it did have a sad ending because while the lion was protecting the deer she would rest or eat because she just stayed by the deers side they sleep together and everything but the lion got so weak from not eating that the deer ran a little ahead of her round the bend and another lion did kill it and she was so distrout over it she herself got sick. It was amazing the story and so out of the ordinary I was just glued to the tube. i like stories like that it shows there is something higher then us out there cause that sure wasn't normal

Does anyone remember the story recently about a turtle adopting a baby hippo or something like that? Nature is amazing.
