I would never feed horse..they are intelligent creatures and I think it would be a bit like feeding dog. goats are fair game imo.
gotta agree with you somewhat but dont forget pigs are very intelligent too. They pick up tricks faster than dogs and they rank #4 in animal intelligence behind chimpanzees, dolphins and elephants. Oh and octopus, extremely intelligent: both killed for food. ;-)

so if i was given horse meat, i would feed it to my dogs b/c its hypocritical for me to eat a pig but then say no to horse.

if you are not experienced in feeding raw, i would recommend waiting till he's like 8-12 months old before switching over completely. Puppies need proper nutrition and are very susceptible to problems if not given correctly.
I would do half raw/half kibble until then. Like just giving a chicken quarter every morning or every other morning.

Plus you need more than liver as organ, like kidneys too. 10% of diet is organ and only half can come from liver as too much is toxic.
so it's 80% muscle, 10% RMB and 10% organ.
and puppies need 10% of body weight a day. I feed Lo all she could eat twice a day until she was 4 months old then 10% body weight until she was a year. then i eased back into giving her 2% of projected adult weight.

oh and i also HIGHLY recommend latex gloves!!!!!!! i hate touching raw meat too, not b/c it grosses me out, I just dont like having to wash all the goop off. Plus i hand fed her b/c i wanted her to learn not to gulp.

NEEDLE PUPPY TEETH! lol

i feed Lolita 15oz a day and she is 55 lbs. I know she's an adult, but that's just a reference. and Orson gets 22 oz a day and he's 70lbs.
both arent very active b/c of Lo's bad leg and O's arthritis, but even when they were active they didnt eat much more.
