I never notice chicken bones in the stool but I often find 1" or smaller bones from beef ribs.

I feed chicken quarters ( ,39 cents a pound Walmart) and they really only crush the quarter to make it easier to swallow they dont really chew them.
I agree..and I don't shop @ Walmart but 2-3 times a year so I do pay a bit more. I switch it up with venison/elk/antelope I get for free throughout the year. Otherwise he gets chicken and beef meaty rib bones for snacks. I have started boning out the leg bone of the quarters because it was too much bone and he would wake me up in the night yakking it out. Since I have started that he no longer does it.

dogs don't actually chew up their food not in the sense we do. they break the bones so they can swallow them..if there is bone in the stool you are feeding too much bone. I was having this problem with Bones he was barfing them up, so I started boning out the leg bone of the chicken quarters and now he is doing just fine. Oh and Tina..Bones did well with the whole quarter for a long time then started barfing out bone he couldn't digest thats when I started giving him less.
