He wasn't a bully (obviously), but he was my beloved beagle/basset hound companion for almost 12 years. He died peacefully at home in November of 2004 of bladder cancer. I found him as a stray in the cemetary near my house when I was 10 years old. We put an found ad in the paper, and no one claimed him. The humane society was full at that time, so we kept him. He was lazy and boring, but he was a very good and loyal friend. We miss you, Triple!

Aww...I didn't mean to make mine sad. Triple lived a very good life and died in very little pain. He wasn't an overly emotional dog (unlike Bella!) so I'm sure he would have hated people being sad for him.

It is a little sad, all of these posts. But it just shows how much these babies are loved, and lets us know that we are never alone in our grief. He was a real cutie! I have a soft spot in my heart for beagles - that's what I grew up with and my parents still have two (one of them from my last litter!).

It is a sad section but it also warms your heart to look back at what joy they gave you.
