Can someone describe to me what a "seal" coat looks like?

Black in certain light, black and reddish/brown in other light. It's a color that would make me say, "That dog is not quite black, but almost!"

I think that's what the puppies are! I'm going to take one of them outside to look in sunlight and see what it looks like then.

You're kidding......................my black puppy was seal. I didnt know that.Sparky looked black but in the light he was so red. Like each tiny piece of fur was black at the root, and half way up turned red.

Even Daizy is like that but the reds not as prominant as Sparky was.

Thats cool, or is it? Is seal a bad thing?
