That sucks. The only thing I've heard is give the dog a bath using tomato juice...

Again, that SUCKS!

thanks..... my 9 yr old step son said the same thing, who knew???

his dog got sprayed, he a pit mix.... magnums look alike...

thanks, for the mother's day wish.... it's been a great one :D
my dog got sprayed twice. I tried tomato juice and all I got was a pink dog but it did remove some of the scent (not much). The next time I tried cider vinegar and it seemed to help a little better but the dog stilled smelled. Only time took the smell away for good....
best thing i found (and stupid willy got sprayed at least twice every year!) was a pasty mixture of lemon juice and baking soda. mix em together and smear them on the dog. let it stand as long as you can(never got away with more than say 5 minutes) then rinse off.
difficult around the face. make sure not to get in the eyes and make sure the eyes are closed when rinsing. but it work really well at removing the smell and i didn't have a pink bulldog.
also be careful when mixing the baking soda and lemon juice, funky science experiment stuff there lol
lol  u have skunks and I have snakes  ...whata pair..
Petco/ Petsmart sell lots of products, maybe you can find something there? Nature's Miracle might have something. Lottsa Luck!

Skunk Remedy
Well I got all kinds of advice. Everything from tomato juice to Massingill Douche! I settled on two different methods. First I bought some Go Jo orange scented hand cleaner like mechanics use (without pumis). I use this stuff all the time when I work in the shop, and it really cuts the oil and grease. So, I figured it might cut the skunk oil and it has Lanolin so it's not to harsh on the skin. Then I used Dawn dish washing soap (apple blossom) he smells so pretty now, but he's not very happy about it ! This isn't the first go around for the skunk problem. We had tried many other remedies in the past including Tomato juice, but never has worked very well in my opinion. This really did the trick. (blittle)
Ooh - there was an episode of Mythbusters about this. I think they found that the commercial skunk removers worked better than the other remedies. Don't think they tried the lemon juice and baking soda one, though. Worth a shot, but you could also call camping supply places (Like Bass Pro Shops or something) and see if they carry anything.
Never had the experience, but I did see a product at Petco the other day. Maybe worth a shot?
thanks everyone!!!

mojo is sooo stinky
I saw that episode of Myth Busters and it didn't seem like they could find anything that could completely take it out but I know they did find one that worked pretty well, not sure either which one it was but I'm sure you can find their website or something and they would have info on it. Good luck on that!
