Deuce is going under the knife in two weeks. He will be getting neutered. *sshhhh* He doesn't know yet. Luckily our vet doesn't make them stay overnight. Just drop off in the morning and pick him up in the evening. Wish us luck. Hope he does ok.

Peebles & Bam Bam are BOTH getting the chop tomorrow!!! I drop them off tomorrow morning and pick'em up in the evening. Im just gonna snatch them up in the morning run them in there and drop them off still kind of sleepy so they might not notice I was the one that put them there.

It works though cause I don't have to work the next two days and I can keep an eye on them. Make sure they don't try and take each others stitches out.

Well tomorrow is the big day. We have to drop him off early in the morning. I wish I could drop him off, but I have to be at work by 6am. My hubby is going to do it. He will be getting lots of love tonight. The dog that is, not my hubby. I really wish I could take him. I am a paranoid momma. I worry way too much. I will also get a refferal to the specialist for his leg tomorrow. I just can't wait for tomorrow evening when I get to pick him up.

Deuce is at the vets now. They said they will give him a shot for pain when they wake him up that will cost $20 and then give us Rymadil (spelling?) for pain and it will be like $15. Does this sound like what you guys were given? Did you have any problems with the meds?

I've never recieved pain meds for a spay or neuter before and I have had several dogs done. I'd actually prefer the dog to be a little ouchy, as they won't bounce around so much after the surgery. A neuter is a pretty minor surgery with a tiny incision and no swelling. Most pups don't even notice. I just neutered my 2 year old, and he was just fine. Rimadyl is also a pretty harsh med for something like this.
