i just dont know what to do know my dog has to wait till saturday to see the vet i just dont got time during the week heres the problem he has a spot on the right hand side of his neck i took him a bath yesterday dried him up but the spot keeps on coming back its a wet spot his coat color is white but in that spot its yellowish and his coat is hard. as of today i also notice around his head he has some lil nick looks like flea bites with a lil bit of blood but he is free from fleas im soo lost and real worried

I agree it does sound like a hotspot. They don't always scratch them. If you can, clip the hair away from the area. That will allow the air to get at it and clear it up quicker. I have always used Otomax for hotspots (it's not specifically for them but works awesome) Atleast it's not an area he can lick, that will make it much easier to treat and heal.

I GOT ANSWERES

took tank to the vet and told me he had hot spots he gave me a spray bottle called gentocin to spray on the spots and i also got some pills cephalexin 500 mg and pred .5mg. i just hope he gets better

Is gentocin the purple spray?

I was put onto that when my goldy had a few after rain. I now use it for any little scratches or nicks the dogs get and find it clears things up quickly.

My goldy looked lovely when the purple turned bright pink on him though. :lol:
