Cool! I'm glad I could inspire you. Check out the Canon PowerShot A620. It's the upgraded version of the camera I use. I don't think the one I have is still sold in stores. I'm pretty sure the A620 replaced it completely.

It does really well indoors without a flash provided that there is good lighting. Our house just has such poor lighting, so I hardly ever take pictures inside. (I hate using a flash.)
