My AB Tora is a jumping machine. I have taught her that she does not get attention until she is sitting. So before AnyONE can pet your dog make him sit so he knows that attention and loving comes when he is sitting calmly. That is an awesome tool
I find what works best with Ana is preventing her from jumping in the first place. When I see her get into jumping stance, I put my put my hand/arm out so she learns where my space is.
Sheila is a jumper as well, I am at my wits end. The biggest problem is people don't listen when you aske them to not pet her till she settles down. Think I am going to have to enforce the rule more readily before she ends up a lifer.
