Does anyone elses dog do this?
Lyla will suck on something, like her stuffed bear or a pillow(if I don't
notice soon enough) She grasps onto something with her paws, and
repeatedly bites it, but just short bites. Know what I mean? She'll take
a break for a half minute, while keeping it in her mouth, then start
again. Is this a comfort thing? Anyone else??

Good

Ok, good to know someone elses dog does this.
It is kind of cute....I will sometimes go up to her and pet her while
she does this...she just ignores me (she's in la la land) and I let her
have some HER time. She will even push her paws in and out like a
cat will do. Memories of Mama?

Philo does the same thing. She has a "bite the man doll" a fleece covered man doll and sometimes she just grasps it in her paws and bites down on it. It is like her zen moment. She will actually fall asleep in this position, it is pretty cute.

Glad to know others do this type of thing as well....thanks for the post!

Sounds like someone has been reading too much Freud. J/k, anyways, wish Deuce did it, it sounds really cute :crybaby:

That is true. I've seen it in cats. My aunt had a cat that would suck onto your elbow or your neck like he was trying to suckle. It was cute and sad at the same time. :D
