Hello everyone..I need some help from the public on this one..We have 2000 members and one dollar from each could help..not just a dog but his owner..(but I need help..I dont know where to start)

I have a very good friend whom is in a chair (paralyzed from the sternum bone down and has been for years). He has a Golden Retriever "Hunter" who has been his motivator for years..he is my buddys world and best friend. And the thought of having his best friend enuthanized for the same reason he is in a chair is just devistating my buddy. This does not need to happen Hunters condition is treatable with the right expertise on it. He needs his hips worked on and he will still have many more years ahead of him.

I am trying to get Hunter to NC States College of Veterinary Medicine for medical attention that he is in desperate need of. I may need to start a fund with the college to cover expenses if necessary, due to my friend having very limited funds on disability.

HELP..I am open for any suggestions out there..I have sent emails to NC States College of Veterinary Medicines Orthopedics division with hopes of a response that we can move in. I have got to do this for Hunter and his owner. Hunters owner is willing to stay with him and transport him but he needs help with the finacial end of it..

I think before anything can be thought of you need to find out what the cost will be and all the other information. Then we can make suggestions or even donate money in a fund for this dog. As soon as you find out any info post it and then move ahead. JMO

Their credit approval can be rather tough, but have him try www.carecredit.com (when you get to their site, scroll to the bottom and click on the link by Patience/Clients. It's mainly a site for human helath care stuff, but they do have a vet care program.

There are others, but I can't think of them off hand.

If you want to (easiest way i can think) to start a fund for anyone to donate a dollar or any amount would be to set up with paypal.

Once you find a vet to do the operation and a dollar amount, post the vets info.
That way if any one wants to send money it can be sent straight to the vet to cover the bill.

I am working on the details of the ortho vet now we will know more after the holiday (we are awaiting info from his regular vet located in Franklin VA)...as soon as I have that info I will post so I can get you all to help me with establishing a paypal account...I thank you all for your input..like I said Hunters owner is in a wheel chair paralyzed from the sternum down and disability checks only go sooo far..

Thanx to all of U..and I will post more after the holiday (his regular vet is closed until after the Holiday)..

Robert does not have computer access..and pleaze feel free to cross post everywhere..I am awaiting referal info from his current vet..I will have that info after the holiday..

I am gettin it togeather slowly but surely..the holiday has put a crimp on us but we will know more this week..I knew you all of could send me in a direction..thanx a million..I am the most disorganized person on the planet and I need all the help I can get...thank you..
