Tala is not liking all the time she has to spend in her kennel with her broken leg, and she shows me by acting silly:

(She's got a plastic bag around her cast so she doesn't get it wet when she's outside)

Here's one from a few days ago:

She's feeling so much better. Now she's got all this super energy from having rested for nearly a week straight. *sigh*. We've got 7 more weeks before she gets the cast off.

Tala looks so cute and cuddly in those pics! Glad to hear that she's coping better. I think i missed a post, but how did she break her leg?
She was attacked by another dog. An Aussie x Black Lab, around 75-80 pounds. Tala's only 6 months old.

Oh man, I bet that was miserable. Poor baby. I was so happy when they said Tala wouldn't need surgery.

When will she be able to put weight on her leg?
You know, I haven't even thought about it yet. I'll definitely look into that today. Even if everyone in the world says it's okay, I'll probably be too paranoid to let her do it anyways. :(

nice to see she's doing better....just curious what made you pic the name tala
It's a Native American name, supposedly Cherokee. The modern meaning of the word is "wolf", but that's not 100% accurate. Tala is a wolf in legend that is responsible for turning all of the wolves from white to gray. She was unhappy being so bland, so she kept stealing paint from a local tribe and rolling in it to turn herself different colors. She didn't like any of the colors, so she went to the river to wash off and all the colors merged into gray. :D
