Ok going to the petstore tomorrow to stock up on some treats and chew bones. What are some good trainning treats to give your puppy and also what bones are good for them to chew on? I heard the rawhide is bad for digestion. Thanks.

They can choke on rawhide and anything else that they can chew apart.
You do have to watch them. Black Kongs, Nylabones, Galeo Bones, Rubber Tire,
Kong Ball, etc. These are the tough toys. They are not cheap but will last.
Do not waste your money on the "cutie pie" stuff. They will last all of 5 minutes.

Treats - I guess what you can afford. We have such a mix on the board here
for treats. Peanut butter in the Kong, hotdog tid bits, doggy cookies, carrots,
Large hard cookie type bones and the list goes on. Have fun looking.

Both of my guys chewed/ate right through bullysticks like they were candy. I think they lasted all of 20 minutes. Yeah, they're dried cow penises, and they will STINK UP your house/furniture/dog beds/carpet/rugs once they start getting moist from the chewing. The smell is NASTY times 10 and will permeate every inch of your house for days.

We let them have a pressed rawhide for about 30 minutes a pop, supervised. That's not long enough for them to eat any of it but long enough to satisfy their chewing jones. Booda Velvet bones and Nylabone Edibles also. Kongs are a great idea but our dogs end up licking and licking and licking to get the treat/PB out instead of chewing, and all that licking gives them SERIOUS gas.
