Update Picture-Dry flakey nose??? Help!!

Ok our dog Zeke has had this spot on his nose for about a week now, at first I thought it was just dried up mud but on closer inspection it is like dry flakey skin on his actual nose/nostril ... it is on the right side of his nose... I have tried to take a picture but he wont sit still long enough and they keep comming out blurry, I will have to get my hubby to help hopefully I will get a pic up here tomorrow to show you what it looks like.... Anyway has anyone else experienced this, it kinda looks like maybe he got a sunburn and the skin is flaking??? It has not gotten any bigger or smaller and really has not changed any in apperance, does not look raw or anything just a patch of dry skin on his nose, but when you touch it, it is kinda rough but none of the skin will flake off.... it does not seem to bother him and i have seen him lick his chops after getting a treat and such but even that moisture does nothing to it, the rest of his nose is normal and looks fine......

This is the best picture I could get, the lil bugger would not sit still..I guess he is camera shy..LOL!!

Thanks for the reply guys.....

angie7349- I think there is plenty of moisture in the house cause the AC is on and the windows definately get wet at some points during the day....

James- that is good to hear that it is noting to worry about...hopefully it is the same sort of thing that Zeke has...

I was just worried cause he is 6 years old and this is the first time in his life that this has happened to him so it has sorta taken me by suprise...Do you guys know if a dogs black nose can actually get sun burned?? The only reason I am sorta leaning toward this is cause the house we just bought has a pool, and both dogs get splashed by the water and it is normally hot out and sunny when we are in the pool, but I also hose them down afterwards cause of the pool chemicals and such, he does have a shady place to lay when we are out there but most of the time he is right by the edge of the pool with us until he gets too hot then he will lay down under the screened in porch...

Ok I am gonna go now and try and get a picture for you guys to see.... wish me luck!!
