Which over the counter medicines can a dog take for upset stomach.
He's had upet stomach in the past and I remember the vet recommending an over the counter drug
but I can't remember the name of it or the dosage.

What dosage would some of you experieced people suggest for a 60 lbs. APBT?

I can't give a doseage but I believe pepto is safe for an upset tummy

Give a tablespoon of pepto bismol and put him on a bland diet of rice until the stool is fine or until he feels better.

What about the tablets. I have the childrens pepto tablets and the adult pepto tablets ? And is this just plain rice or can I add a chicken boulian to the water I'm cooking the rice in?? Harley has a bit of an upset tummy too. I'm thinking maybe she had to many treats yesterday and have eliminated them today. So have eliminated treats and she will not get canned dog food tomorrow. She normally gets 1/2 a can in the mornigs.

The liquid kind that comes in the pink bottle also work if you give a tablespoon. (usually you only give it once and they start to feel better because it coats the inside of the stomach) and when you cook the rice just use plain rice but you may add chicken broth.

I follow the directions for an adult and children over 12. 2 tablets.

you can put some canned pumpkin in with their food if they have diahrea, it works realy well.
