Hi every one i am new to the forum so i have a lot of questions but at the moment if i put rice in his food it makes him sik he will vomit from it and it makes him very very sik has any one every heard of this probilem before thanks
Yeah, my Sophie doesn't do well if she gets a lot of white rice - plain cooked rice. When I used brown rice, I ground it in the food processor, and she did really well with that. For her I think the texture hurt her tummy.
ok thats not good so wat would you recomend for me to do with him and did your dog like the brown rice grounded up is it best if i mash it up or not feed it to him at all. When he eats rice it is like he wants to vomit is this the same as your dog thanks
I gave mine some brown Rice just once and he vomited it up. Which I don't under stand cause it was in some of their dog food and they were fine. But I just don't give it to him , Funny thing is they Love Rice cakes , Plain no salt or fat rice cakes and they do fine with them. Strange
Fair warning - when I refrigerated the leftover mush, it got pretty firm. From that point on, I had to cut it into cubes and feed it to her that way. Worked pretty well, though. Her tummy certainly got better. Remember - no salt or spices in the chicken (if you're going for a bland diet, anyway). Just plain boiled chicken. Trust me, she won't mind.
No. Dogs can eat raw meats and veggies if you want to feed that kind of diet. Do a search on here or on the internet about the BARF diet. I don't know much about it and don't want to give you bad info.
