Okay, I am not trying to start a riot since it is our forum I figured that we could vote on how to handle the waiting rule.I asked for suggestions so that we could all voice our opinions and feel that we all got a fair shake. Here are your options, there were not many suggestions given so I am doing the best that I can.

I figure that if your dog wins male/female/pup then they would only be exempt from those contests. The dog should be able to be reentered at anytime for couple of the month and the speciality contest, until they have won that as well then that dog should wait.

Keep in mind there is talk a calender, and there is the dog of the year contest.

one month seems to be good in between posting for a winner.
I agree it should only be for the catagory the member won for.

If there is going to be a calender how will you know who won the contest from January to June the photo's have been deleted from the threads?
The only photo's of the winners that are still on the threads are from after Angie took over the Dog of the month.
What about dog of the year, I would think that you would use the same 12 photo's from each month to vote on?

That is a good question. I would have to get in would have with champ_and_jas. the threads were deleted before I came on board. I suppose if I were not able to get in touch with champ_and _jas, I would have to have the winners of the months that were deleted, repost their pictures......But if I had been running it the whole time I would have the pictures on my computer in a photobucket account.

I think you mean when am I going to start enforcing the rule? I guess that I will start this month before I open up for November. Someone had some good ideas for the rules but I will have to re-read them in my PM. If we are going to do a calender if we have a dog that wins multiple months I guess that I will run a speciality contest in December for all dogs that have not won to be in and they can fill the extra months.Tricky tricky if we will have to have three different calendars :-k bc male, female, and pup all have 12 dogs which means we would need a 36 month calender.................BOY did I open a can of worms #-o

I would say maybe make the contest not so much Male/Female of the month, but the best picture of a male/female, etc. That way, you can enter every month and it doesn't matter! Eventually everyone will win if we do specific Female of the month contests, but if the contest is about the picture, it can go on forever. Even the Plutonium rod can win!
