This is Kato. We are positive he's got gsd in him but ppl say there bull in him to, some say shar-pei some say boxer some say pit some say mastiff. So I thought this would be the best place to post his pics and get some accurate answers.

What do you think he has in him?

He definitly looks like part gsd but his face doesn't resemble one at all, id say pitty. I wouldn't say boxer at all...my girl is gsd/boxer and they look totally different. As he gets older it will come out more and more (whatever he is mixed with.)

Whatever he is, he is SO damn cute.

p.s. I really hope you are not using a choke collar on him. His neck is too small and it can damage his developing neck tissue!

seriously? oh damn. I didn't know that. What colar should be used? We've used it on him for since he was 8wks and hes 10-11 now. Will that damage him?

All he has to do is get the loop caught on something, he is going to struggle to get unstuck.. and in 5 min, you could have a dead puppy. A choke chain does just that, choke, and is only used for correction during training.

A nylon collar will work. Cute pup! So adorable! :D
just got 1 today..and thanks.

But I really don't think he has hound in him he's huge i'd guess mastiff or somthing along that lines. And out of like the 50 ppl that said what he was including vets not once did they mention hound.

He doesn't look overweight. Maybe he might have worms? That sometimes causes the belly to bloat.

Adorable one you got there! I feel for your furniture! Lol!

I don't see any "pit bull", boxer, or any other bully breed in that dog. I see some hound thought.
than why is his head so big?
Many, many, many breeds have big heads. In fact, "pit bulls" aren't supposed to have monstrous heads. Hell, my Shar Pei mix's head is larger than any of my APBTs. And not all hounds are 15lb beagles. However, he could have some Mastiff, Rottweiler, Shepherd, Collie, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Labrador (which may explain the blocky type head & large flat ears.....I've seen many Lab/Shepherd mixes that look like that dog)

If you don't see hound, that's ok. But I honestly don't think this dog is a mix of 2 purebred dogs, instead I think it's a mix of several different breeds & mixes thereof & we will probably never know what kind of heritage this dog has. However, wanting him to be a "pit" & knowing that he actually is are 2 different things. And IMO, if you don't know what the hell it is, don't go around calling it a "pit bull".
