It's allergies, dear. Could be from anything from her food, fleas, grass, etc.

OH man that sucks!!!!, I hate this, now where the heck do I start???

I would check out the food first, making sure there is no wheat or corn.
Then the grass she may be eating. The other thing to consider (and this is where
my dog got it from) is antibiotics. My dog developed a yeast infection from the
antibiotics. It is a killer and we still have not gotten her over it.

Thanks Guys, I hope its not a yeast infection like Pooh Bear's, Do you think I should take her in???

Her food has no wheat or Corn, Its Innova Dog food, carbs come from Barley and Brown Rice.

I remember Dozer had something like this, but not near as bad, but that is partially why I switched to RAW. Now he is back on this kibble and he is doing fine. I don't know what I should do. This food is the ONLY good food in cranbrook that you can buy. The next best is Eagle Pack and that has Corn. We just starting getting Innova that is why I took them off the raw. Last time I was in Calgary I bought some DVP rolls, for training treats, but it says you can feed it, I gave her some of that this morning, but I don't have that many left.

We went to the vet today and he said it's just a rash. He gave me a spray, Gentocin, to use twice a day and anitbiotics, Simplicef. He said that we would be fighting skin problems his whole life as this is part of the breed. He did say that he was glad I brought him in as it is better to treat the condition right away before it spreads.

As for his nails, he said it's pretty normal. That he just has some pigment in the white. I think it's a little odd and will do further research and let you know if I find out anything.

I swear I have spent more at the vet on this dog in his first 6 months than Elvis' (my previous dog) whole life! Not complaining, but it's a little frustrating.

Wow...I never knew that was allergies. I figured it was just from having really short hair (nothing to absorb the oil) and only getting a bath every 3 or 4 months, lol.

I know what you mean about vet bills - we hit about 2k with Maddi the first year we had her, which was unheard of in either of our families, lol (Maddi was our first dog of our own).

We hit 2K in the first 7 months we had Bella. She hasn't been to the vet in a little over a month, and we're hoping her good health will continue for at least another month! Haha!

LOL...yeah you know it's bad when you call and your vet and techs know you on a first name basis.

The first time we went more than a month without a vet visit we were afraid they'd think she was dead or something.

LOL! When I call and make appointments for Bella, it's always "Aww...what's wrong with her now???" She loves going to the vet, though, which I'm glad for. She must think it's her second home...hehe.

Allergies, molly has it on her belly and back of her legs.I was told this by her vet.It comes and goes depending on the season. It acts up this time of year and by spring it will be gone.
All depends on what your dogs allergies are caused from.Could be the food, bedding, deodorizers for rugs and so on.These are a few that molly had issues with.
She was on pred. for a good while until it made her pee non stop so off of that and she now gets a shot twice a year to help with all of this and so far so good.No biggi though.
