hi everyone! im hoping i can get some help. i bought this puppy and her father was on site. The seller says the father is a bullmastiff (full brindle). Which he did look like. I did not see the mother. She claims the mother was another type of mastiff. She mentioned something about presa canario aswell. Breed was not really an issue for me. People are asking me if my new puppy is a pitbull. From my own research i see there is alot to a bullmastiff so i dont think anything of her looking like a pitbull (her face that is). So heres the kicker guys...my puppy is WHITE. And this is a fault when it comes to bullmastiffs. She has brindle marked ears and a brindle patch above her tail. So please give me some of your comments on my little baby. I dont want to hear that she is a pitbull...lol

That dog could be ANYTHING and unless you were there at the time of breeding you won't know. It's very unusual for a person to be selling a litter, and that pup doesn't look very old at all, without the mom on site.
I sure hope you didn't pay much for it. It's sad - you could have rescued a mutt from the shelter for probably alot less than you paid for this one.

the thing is that pressas arent white either, so something here isnt right. did u see any other pups from that birth.

Imnt an expert but something in the way that her mouth is structured leads to the conclusion that have some pit blood.

yes i did see all the pups. She was the only white one there aswell as the smallest, which makes me think she could be the runt, and does that affect her color??
the majority of the pups were brown brindle, like the father which i did see. he looked like a great dane in the face/snout, and same height. Thick like a big rottweiler in the head and upper body. Really big dog. Looks nothing like pictured I've seen of bullmastiffs.
Her eyes were blue and now seem to be almost a hazel, still light.
i did get her at 6 weeks and she is now 2 1/2 months. i will get some better pics of her tomorrow. i appreciate everyones input. i am certainly not an expert! lol
Has anyone ever heard of a white bullmastiff anyway???

If you can handle a BullMastiff or a Presa Canario, you can handle a Pitbull. Which she does look almost indentical to my friend's Pit bull, but that really means nothing. She could be a Pit bull, an American Bulldog and about 4 or 5 other breeds. She is darling, I doubt that she is a Mastiff or a Presa as neither are white (they can both have some white but between the two breeds 40% is the maxium of white).

Bullmastiff sire? I would say that's impossible just looking at him. The black mask gene is so strong, it would take a lot of selective breedings to produce bully-mix pups without this characteristic. Same goes with Presa-Canario. Impossible from what I see. Both breeds have masks and not even close to as much white. He definatley has bulldog blood in there, beit american bulldog or apbt, which explains all the white.

I would say your pup is too young to make guesses based on looks. He could be a number of things. Only time will tell how he matures, may be easier to tell then.

dont mastiffs have the black masks on face?
Most do yes. Dogue De Bordeaux's are an exception, some have black masks/pigment some have no mask (red DDB's with red nose + red pigment). Most other mastiffs have a definate mask.
