My dogs won't fetch. Yote will retrieve maybe three times, but that's it. I use tennis balls, and Yote also just shreds them if I leave them lying around.
My golden retreiver was obsessed with tennis balls. I used to take a tennis racket and smack the balls over this lake and she'd swim out and retrieve them. I'd use the racket on the grass too; it probably doubled her workout.
You know, they say dogs are color blind, but she could definitely disginguish that bright green/yellow color. She'd get excited if you showed her anything of the same color. It was weird.
