Do those of you with mixed breed dogs of unknown heritage ever think you've gotten your dog's mix somewhat figured out until you look at him or her at a weird angle or take a picture from a weird angle? That's how I am with Remy. We think he's a pit bull/lab mix, but sometimes we just have no idea.

Like in this picture...I'm not sure what he looks like here!

I'd say he looks pretty pit bull/lab here:

And he's just plain adorable here!

Anyone have any thoughts of what you think he looks like?

He definately has the "pitbull eyes"...but I want to agree with you that lab would be my other guess. That first pic almost makes him look like he has great dane in him. Either way he's one handsome boy!

Yeah, he definitely has gorgeous almond-shaped pit bull eyes. I love it. :) He does kind of look like he could be part Great Dane based on that first picture.

He does look lab/pit to me. In the last picture you can really see the pit in him (atleast to me)
I thought that, too (about the last picture). He's got pit bull eyes and a pit bull forehead, if that makes sense. LOL! And he's got a long snout like a lab.
He also has the larger, rounder nose like labs...I'd definately have to say pit/lab, because if he had dane in him he would probably be much bigger!

You never know...I've seen Great Danes who are no bigger than 80lbs and are short. We call em mini danes

I'm probaly not helping much with my ideas, I'll have people sitting up all night trying to think about it.

His profile shots always make me thing Dobie/pit/lab mix. Long slender nose and high cheek bones.

Here's a dobie pic for comparisson:

Of course, lips, ears and coloring are different - but a dobie in the mix could account for Remy's black and rust markings.

Whatever Remy is - he's gorgeous :love5:

I'm just going to start calling him a rare Great Doberpitador.
  A designer breed! Quick breed him now, and make tons of money. . . .uh . . . wait. Dont do that! :) He is a sweet boy, he looks VERY like Brodie did, same basic facial structure. I always love seeing the pics of him. I too thought Great Dane from that first pic, but, I still think lab/pit mix.
