ya, unfortionatly our yard is mostly gravel in the back. We bought the house a year ago from an old retired guy and he claimed that gravel was the best! Half of the yard is grass and half is gravel. We have planters all around the perimeter that I've been planting. Before summer, we're planning on redoing the whole thing...we just need to see if we're getting any money back on our taxes first. Plants are so expensive, especially because Chico has a knack for trampling everything. That is why I have chicken wire up all around our planters.
