Congratulations. CGC is not easy. It is a temperament test more than an obedience test. You could have a dog that is 100% obedient and he can fail because he wants to eat other dogs or is freaked out by the wheelchair distraction.
Well one of my goals is to have him work as a therapy dog, I know some of the herapy organazations base their test closely on the CGc so it was my first step. My grandfather is in a wheelchair so he is pretty used to that
CONGRATS! Rocket will be taking his CGC after the holidays. He's also going to be a therapy dog and Maggie Mae is going to be a therapy dog as well. Our only issue with Roket is that he's mostly deaf, so certain aspects of the CGC test will be no problem, while other parts may be hard.
Congrats to Willy! I hope he enjoys being a therapy dog!
